ACS UK is pleased to announce the appointment of Stavros Themistocli as its new Programmes Director. Stavros returns to the company after more than a decade with the business, during which he progressed from Programme Manager to Head of Programmes, before broadening his leadership expertise within the defence sector.
He rejoins ACS UK following almost three years at Raytheon UK, where he oversaw programme management activities within a major UK defence training initiative, helping to establish and lead a new team within a highly complex environment.
The experience gained has provided Stavros with broader expertise in programme governance, commercial management, customer collaboration and cross-functional leadership, which he now brings back to ACS UK. As the company continues to invest in its people, operations and future development, his appointment will help enhance programme delivery and support customers around the world.
In his new role, Stavros will focus on strengthening programme governance, improving cross-functional collaboration and enhancing delivery performance, helping to ensure ACS UK continues to provide customers with both innovative aircraft interiors solutions backed by confidence in execution and delivery.
Stavros said: “ACS UK has been an important part of my career and returning feels like coming home, but I’m coming back with a much broader perspective and experience. I know the people, I know the strengths of the business and I know the potential. That made the opportunity to return as Programmes Director at this point incredibly compelling.
“What excites me most is the opportunity to help bring all of that together, strengthen how we deliver for our customers, enhance collaboration across the business and play a part in shaping the next chapter. The cabin interiors market continues to evolve, and customers are looking for partners who can bring not just great products and engineering expertise, but also confidence in delivery. I’m looking forward to helping ACS UK build on those strengths as we continue to support our customers.”
Nigel McSorley, CEO of ACS UK, said: “We are delighted to welcome Stavros back to ACS UK. His deep understanding of the business, combined with the wider leadership experience he has gained in recent years, makes him ideally placed to lead our Programmes function. His expertise in programme delivery, governance and team leadership will help us continue improving how we work across the business, supporting our customers and developing the skills, processes and leadership needed for the company’s next chapter.”
Stavros will be based at ACS UK’s head office in Bournemouth, UK.
